What Assistance has the Foundation Provided to B.C.I. & V.S. Students and the School to Date?

A. Developed, Administers (with Staff Assistance) and Funds the Student Awards ProgramThis program was developed and initiated in 2004.  It provides monetary assistance to students in the graduating year. It is believed to be unique to Ontario because it is based on individual subject marks.

To qualify a student must be taking 6 or more credits in his/her graduating year.  The awards are based on the six best subjects.  Presently for each subject mark of 90 or over the student receives $100.00; marks of 85 to 89 receives $75.00 and marks of 80 to 84 generates $50.00.

It is possible then for a student to receive $600.00 from the Foundation in his/her graduating year to help with books, tuition fees, lodging and other expenses associated with post secondary education.  It should be noted that students entering apprenticeships from their graduating year are also eligible for assistance from this program.  This is then intended to help with specialized tools, courses and other expenses incurred in apprenticeship training.

Note:
Since Its Inception in 2004 the Foundation’s Endowment Fund Has Provided $158,886.00 to over 500 B.C.I. & V.S. Graduating Students>
