Distinguished Alumni Program

A program was implemented in 2000 by the Alumni Association to recognize former BCI students who had achieved international, national, or local recognition in 14 different categories. A subcommittee was established to receive and accept nominations under this program. Ken Strachan, former editor of The Expositor, chaired this committee until his death in 2005.

The committee focused on the international level first and honoured the first seven inductees at a ceremony in the spring of 2001. Since then, some 31 (changing number) in this category have been honoured and now 7 in the national category in 2006.

Lists of those honoured to date are posted below, as well as categories & criteria for both the international and national levels.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from this website and returned by mail to 120 Brant Avenue, Brantford, ON, N3T 3H3 or faxed to (519) 759-7943 or emailed to info@bcialumni.on.ca.

This is an on-going program and the sub-committee administering the program would welcome further nominations in either the national or international levels at this time.  The next Induction Ceremony is scheduled to take place during the 100th Reunion Celebrations on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00am at the school in the Auditorium.
